Death Note is a thrilling Japanese animated television series written by Toshiki Inoue. It is directed by Tetsurō Araki and produced by Toshio Nakatani, Manabu Tamura and Masao Maruyama. The show is based on the manga series ‘Death Note’ by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata and the first season was premiered on October 3, 2006.
The show revolves around the story of a Light Yagami high school student who stumbles on Death Note, a magical and mysterious book that kills anyone whose name is written on it. The rest of the story is about her adventures as she attempts to eradicate evil.

Death Note Season 2: Official release date
We have no official confirmation from the creators of a supposed sequel to season 1. They haven’t revealed it. It is doubtful that we can get one sooner. Currently due to the coronavirus pandemic, all releases have been postponed. This has hurt the entire industry. If we have a season 2, we can expect that in 2021. It can also extend until 2022.

We don’t have an official trailer at the moment. We may also not get close to it. Let’s wait patiently for confirmation from the manufacturers. If we’re lucky, we’ll have one around the start of 2021.

The main characters who were part of the first season of the series are Light Yagami, L Lawliet, Ryuk, Misa Amane, Near, Mello and Teru Mikam. Regarding the cast, we can expect that the actors of season 1 will also resume their role in season 2.
